MOJO RENTALS POLICIES

BOOKING

  • Reservations: Recommended for all rentals. Walk-ins are welcome, but rentals are subject to availability. Depending on the number of customers waiting, setup and safety checks may take 30-45 minutes.

  • Rental Durations: Half Day (4 hrs), Same Day (9:30 am - 5 pm), 24hr + (eg. 24hr, 48hr, 72hr). Maximum rental period is one week. For rentals over a week, please book two consecutive reservations.

  • Group Rentals: Large group rentals (5 or more rental bikes) will receive a 10% discount on the entire reservation with code: GROUP10. Contact us via email at rentals@mojocycling.com for further assistance with group arrangements.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • Each bike rental includes a helmet, pedals, water bottle cage, fit, and suspension setup.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Full Refund: Available for cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the reservation start time.

  • Partial Refund (50%): For cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation start.

    • Maintenance Issue: If a maintenance issue arises during the rental and takes longer than 30 minutes to repair, the customer may be entitled to a partial refund of up to 15% of the rental cost.

  • No Refund: If there is a "no show, no call" on the reservation. Additionally, no refunds will be issued for early returns or if the rental is cut short by the renter for any reason. Once the bike has been test-ridden, and accepted, the customer agrees to the condition they received the bike in.

  • Weather Cancellations: Rentals are available rain or shine, but if weather conditions are deemed unsafe, Mojo Rentals reserves the right to cancel the reservation. Reservations canceled by Mojo Rentals will receive a full refund.

DAMAGE PROTECTION

Damage protection is available in three tiers and covers the entire rental period:

  • Basic Protection ($20): Covers up to $250 in damage.

  • Premium Protection ($50): Covers up to $500 in damage.

  • Premium+ Protection ($75): Covers up to $750 in damage.

For any damage above the coverage amount, renters are responsible for full retail price of parts and labor repairs.

Coverage Includes: Damage such as bent wheels, broken derailleurs, ripped saddles, and slashed tires.
Exclusions: Theft, negligence, or misuse, such as stacking bikes improperly or throwing the bike off a cliff.

  • Without a Protection Plan: If the bike is damaged in any way during the rental and no protection plan is selected, the customer is responsible for the full cost of any replacement parts as well as labor costs for installation or repairs. For example, a bent wheel may cost $150 for the part and an additional $50 for labor, totaling $200.

Regardless of damage protection, renters are ultimately responsible for the bike.

BROKEN BIKES POLICY

If a maintenance issue is identified with a reserved bike during normal operations, Mojo Rentals will contact the customer within one week of discovering the issue. Our commitment is to ensure that each customer has a fully functional bike for their rental.

  • Replacement Options: We will find a suitable replacement within the same bike category if available. If not, the customer will receive a complimentary upgrade to a higher-tier bike based on availability.

  • No Replacement Available: If no suitable replacement is available, we can offer a full refund or rescheduling of the reservation for another time.

  • Notification: If the issue arises within the week of the reservation, we will reach out via phone or email as soon as we become aware of it to discuss replacement options, rescheduling, or a refund.

LATE RETURN POLICY

  • Return Time: Bikes must be returned promptly at the end of the reservation to allow time for necessary maintenance.

  • Grace Period: 15 minutes.

  • Late Fee: $30 per 30 minutes beyond the grace period.
